HR Manager

Bromsgrove. Part time. £35/40k pro rata

Our client is an innovative technology company engaged in cutting edge research and solution development to meet the needs of Government customers.  Due to continued growth, they are looking for an HR Manager to join their team. The ideal person will have previous experience of working at this level and be able to review and implement policies, be self-motivated and able to work under own autonomy or as part of a team.

You will need to be able to be in the office 2 or 3 days per week and travel to head office in Tewkesbury when required.

*Due to the nature of our clients’ customers, candidates will need to go through Security Clearance; therefore, you will need to be a British Passport holder*

 

Job Description

Key responsibilities will include:

·         Management of complex employee relations casework including disciplinaries, grievances, absence, retirement and redundancy.

·         Advising managers on the terms and conditions of employment and share best practice with them.

·         Developing HR policy and procedures to drive performance and mitigate disputes.

·         Implementing training and development policy.

·         Providing first line advice on current and existing benefits for employees and managers.

·         Managing the recruitment process – this may include writing job descriptions and preparing interview questions and application forms etc.

·         Drive alignment between HR strategy and business goals.

·         Continuously monitor and review HR policies and processes and implement changes where necessary.

 

Profile

Candidates will have:

·         Excellent relationship management skills and be able to motivate and guide people;

·         A sound understanding of employment law;

·         A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a management role;

·         Experience of, and be proficient in collaborative working tools such as Slack and G-Suite and also using the Microsoft Office suite of tools;

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

·         A flexible and positive attitude and an ability to deal positively with change;

·         The ability to plan and prioritise, and the persistence to carry tasks through to conclusion;

·         The ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and diplomacy.

You may also have:

·         Recognised qualifications in HR e.g. CIPD, a degree/BTEC HNC/HND in human resource management.

Salary £35/40k pro rata

At least 2/3 days will be office based and visits to head office in Tewkesbury will be required.

Generous pension provision: Company contribution is 10% of basic pay
