Claims Advisor (health) Tewkesbury. Salary up to £28k doe. Permanent. Our client has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Claims Advisor. The key responsibility is to manage incoming calls, sometimes of a complex health nature, to help and guide customers through the claim process. This role could suit those with office based customer services or claims experience and a keen interest in health – either mental or physical as this role will combine both. Training will be given but candidates will need excellent customer service skills. Key duties: • Providing excellent customer service to customers. • Establish the reason for ill health/injury and identify any underlying causes • Managing inbound calls from customer who wish to make a claim • Updating the database with accuracy and attention to detail • Dealing with claims in the correct manner in accordance with all guidelines. • Using questioning techniques to decide the best way forward We are looking for candidates with outstanding communication skills and a real focus on both cost management and customer service. You will be an excellent listener and able to deal with customers with empathy and understanding. Key skills & knowledge required: • Previous experience of working in an office based customer service role or claims advisor/handler is required – dealing with personal injury insurance would be an advantage • Ability to use Microsoft office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint • Demonstrate confident telephone • Adopt an investigatory approach to cases and to ensure that all obstacles are identified and removed where necessary and or appropriate. • Demonstrate a professional and respectful approach during all interactions whether this be internal or external • An interest in healthy lifestyle’s would benefit this role • A degree in a health-related role (psychology, sports therapy, sports science, nutrition) would be an advantage Salary – £24-£28k doe.
