QHSE Co-ordinator (part time)
Tewkesbury. 25 hours over 5 days.
£ 15/17per hour doe
Our client is an established company who design, manufacture and supply bespoke products to support a wide range of manufacturing process instrumentation and they are now recruiting for a part-time QHSE Co-Ordinator. Candidates will need previous experience of working in a similar role with a technical engineering company.
Duties:
Quality Assurance
o Ensure that the company conforms to the requirements of the relevant standards it is approved to, including ISO9001, IEC80079-34 (ATEX etc), SIL.
o Be available for any external audits by the above Certification Bodies
o Action customer quality-audits if required
o Perform internal audits of all processes
o Action any non-conformances found at internal or external audits
o Monitor and report on all processes within the company in accordance with the company’s
quality procedures, keeping quality procedures up to date.
o Control of content and issue of all Certificates of Conformance issued by the company
o Maintain all Quality databases and Quality documented information to include Sales, Finance,
HR, Manufacturing and Engineering
o Generate & maintain detailed reporting structures using Access, Excel and Word
o Hold Quality Management Reviews every 12-14 months
Health and Safety
o Ensure that the company conforms to the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974
o Ensure that the company conforms to the requirements of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 as subsequently amended
o Undertake suitable and sufficient risk assessments
o Put in place effective arrangements for the planning, organization, control, monitoring and review of health and safety measures in the workplace
o Keep accurate and up to date records of all arrangements
o Develop suitable emergency procedures
o ensure that relevant and adequate health and safety training and information are delivered to all staff
o Report on the above to the Directors of the company at the QMR
Environment
o Report on company waste management processes and legislative requirements to the Directors of the company at the QMR
General:
o Manage and support the work of the General Support Administrator
o Liaison with all staff, departments and other organizations as required to carry out the above duties
o Be available to give administrative support to other departments in fulfilling the requirements of the QMS, including proof-reading and editing
o Filing and general office administration
Any other duties which the employee may be requested to perform by their manager or a Director
Required Skills:
o Experience of working in a similar role
o High level of literacy
o Ability to research, analyse and evaluate information
o Ability to synthesise information and use it to produce documents which are cogent, coherent and accurate
o High level of attention to detail
o High level of written and verbal communication skills
o Inter-personal skills and ability to liaise and co-ordinate across departments, taking the lead as required
o Ability to work independently
o Ability to plan and work flexibly to achieve targets
Performance measures:
o Standard of accuracy and presentation of quality reports
o Adherence to audit schedules and timely follow-up of non-conformances
o Continuous improvement of the QMS and of Health, Safety and Environmental processes, as evidenced by the Quality Management Review and associated Action Plans
